TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's basketball team (1-2) will open its home season on Tuesday, Dec. 1 when it hosts Cleveland State (0-0) in a 7:00 p.m. tipoff. The Rockets opened their 2020-21 campaign last week at the Xavier Invitational. Toledo's lone victory in Cincinnati over Oakland (80-53) was sandwiched by a pair of narrow defeats to Bradley (61-59) and the host Musketeers (76-73). In those two defeats, the Rockets led for 23:06 vs. the Braves and 31:32 vs. Xavier.

Toledo featured a balanced attack in the tourney with freshman
Ryan Rollins (15.7), senior
Marreon Jackson (15.3), junior
Setric Millner Jr. (15.0) and senior
Spencer Littleson (12.7) each scoring in double digits. Millner paced UT with 17 points vs. the Braves, Littleson tallied a team-high 24 vs. the Golden Grizzlies and Rollins registered a team-best 20 vs. Xavier.
Millner is the Rockets' top rebounder with 10.0 rpg, thanks to an impressive 17-point, 15-rebound effort against the Musketeers. Jackson is dishing out a team-high 6.3 apg and has also grabbed a team-best 1.7 spg.
Cleveland State will be playing its first contest of the season after posting an 11-21 win-loss mark last year under first-year head coach Dennis Gates. The Vikings return all five starters and nine letterwinners, including Algevon Eichelberger who posted a team-high 14.5 ppg and 6.4 rpg.
Toledo won its sixth-straight game vs. the Vikings last year with an 80-65 victory in the Wolstein Center.
Luke Knapke registered a triple-double in the contest as he tallied 12 points, a team-high 12 rebounds and a school-record 10 blocked shots.
Spencer Littleson paced the Rockets with a game-high 19 points with
Marreon Jackson adding 17 points.
