CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Toledo men's tennis team fell to Cleveland State, 5-2, in Cleveland on Saturday. The Rockets' two points were posted by freshmen Luis Kleinschnitz and Max Skaer from the No. 5 and No. 6 courts during singles play. 
 
"In singles we see improvements in a lot of areas and we're pleased, all things considered, with our progress and efforts," said head coach Al Wermer. "We can bring more to doubles, and we will."  
 
Kleinschnitz came out victorious after a three-set battle against Kade Mindry. Kleinschnitz fell 4-6 in the first set before rallying in the second and third sets 6-6, 10-6. Skaer defeated Jack Santilli after winning the first set 6-0 and falling in the second 4-6. Skaer sealed the victory on the No. 6 court with a score of 11-9 in the third set.

The Rockets gear up for a double feature on Jan. 24 in Dayton, Ohio, as they take on Wright State at 11:00 a.m. and Dayton at 7:00 p.m. Both matches will be played at the South Regency Tennis Center.
