WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – In a Sunday afternoon match, the Toledo women's soccer team found itself on the wrong side of the scoreboard as the Rockets (0-2-0) fell 4-0 to Purdue (2-0-0) in West Lafayette, Ind.
It was a game of playing catchup for the Rockets, as Purdue got on the board in the 21st minute of the game and never let up. The Boilermakers added a second and third goal within 15 minutes as the Rockets' defense could not stop Teagan Jones and Ally Mussallem, who each tallied in the 34th minute. The Boilermakers would add another goal late in the first half, giving them a 4-0. The Rocket defense kicked up the pressure in the second half, keeping the Boilermakers scoreless and only allowing seven shots.
