Toledo, Ohio— University of Toledo offensive lineman Bryce Harris has been named to the official watch list for the Outland Trophy. The award is presented annually to the top interior lineman in college football.
Last week, Harris was named to the Rimington Award watch list, which annually honors the nation's top center. The Akron, Ohio native was also nominated for the 2019 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team for community service.
"It's a great feeling knowing my hard work has put me in a position to receive these recognitions," Harris said. "It's an honor and I'm excited for this season to go out and and play football with my guys."
A 2018 second-team All-MAC selection, Harris has appeared in 38 games as an offensive lineman, making 30 starts at center and guard. Last season, he was part of an offensive line that helped the Rockets lead the MAC in scoring (40.4) and rank second in total offense (443.8) and rushing (215.9).
The 2019 Outland Trophy presented by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases will be presented during ESPN's The Home Depot College Football Awards on December 12 from the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. The official presentation to the winner will be made at the NFID Outland Trophy Awards Dinner sponsored by Werner Enterprises in Omaha, Neb., on January 15, 2020.
