Ann Arbor, Mich. - The University of Toledo women's track and field team garnered two MAC qualifying times, nine personal-bests, and seven top-five finishes at the Len Paddock Open in Ann Arbor, Mich. to cap the regular season.

"We had a small group at Michigan as we tune up for the MAC Championships next week," said head coach Linh Nguyen. "I thought we were going to finally get some good weather, but it ended pretty rough. Still, I think we had a good meet. (Junior) Tori Thompson ran really well in her events despite the cold weather. (Senior) Janelle Noe and (junior) Yana Khabina both ran very well, and look like they earned their spots in the NCAA prelims."

Noe led the Rockets in the 1,500 meters, clinching a first-place finish and MAC automatic qualifying time of 4:23.65. Khabina also notched a MAC automatic qualifying time in the 400-meter hurdles, stopping the clock at 1:00.56 to take first. Thompson posted personal-bests in the 100m (12.17) and 200m (24.78) to finish eighth and sixth, respectively.

In throws, senior Katie Dewey chalked up a second-place finishes in the discus (47.19m) and shot put (14.68m) Freshman Lauren Johnson led the Rockets in the javelin event, finishing in fourth with a toss of 31.87m, a mere 1.35 meters from her personal best. In the hammer throw, Kallie Strauss took the lead with a personal-best throw of 46.02m that landed her in 10th place.
