CARY, N.C. – The Toledo men's golf team finished in 11th place at N.C. State's Stitch Intercollegiate on Saturday. The tournament held at the par-72, 6,973-yard MacGregor Downs Country Club was reduced to 36 holes due to inclement weather on Friday.

"We hoped for better weather but to get 36 holes in was quite a feat thanks to the MacGregor Downs Country Club grounds staff," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "There were moments of promise from the team along with similar challenges. We look forward to taking another step forward at Kepler next week."

Senior Duncan McNeill paced the Rockets at four-over par 148 (74-74), one shot in front of freshman David Amm at five-over par 149 (72-77).  Amm registered UT's top round in the tournament with an even-par 72 in Friday's opening round.

Junior Rasmus Broholt Lind (77-73) and freshman Muhammed Afif Mohd Fathi each carded a six-over par 150 (77-73), while sophomore Grant Godfrey carded an 11-over par 155 (78-77).

No. 3 Wake Forest won the tournament with a 14-under par 562, one stroke in front of No. 21 Louisville and three shots ahead of No. 20 Liberty and No. 26 N.C. State. The Wolfpack's Stephen Franken defeated the Demon Deacons' Cameron Young in a playoff to capture medalist honors.

Toledo wraps up its regular season next weekend when it travels to Columbus, Ohio to compete in Ohio State's Kepler Intercollegiate on Friday-Saturday, April 19-20.
