TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team will be challenged by some of the nation's top teams this weekend when it heads south for the 14th annual Linger Longer Invitational March 15-17. The three-day event will be played on the par-72, 6,991-yard layout at The Landing at Reynolds Lake Oconee. The 54-hole tourney will consist of an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Holes 1 and 10 each day.

The Rockets will be competing in their second tournament of the spring against a field that includes five teams ranked in this week's Golfstat Top-25. Toledo opened its spring on Feb. 25-26 at the Louisiana Classics. Freshman David Amm paced the Rockets in that event by tying for 26th place with a 54-hole total of six-over par 222 (78-72-72).
 
Amm is leading the Rockets with a 73.5 stroke average but has competed in just two tournaments. Sophomore Grant Godfrey ranks second on the team with a 74.3 mark. Joining Amm and Godfrey in the lineup in Georgia will be junior Rasmus Broholt Lind (75.3), senior Duncan McNeill (75.7) and sophomore Dylan Van Fossen (77.0).

Following this weekend the Rockets will travel to the West Coast to compete in The Goodwin, a tournament that will be hosted by Stanford University on March 28-30.
 
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
• Fifteen schools are participating in the Linger Longer Invitational.
• Joining Toledo in the event will be five programs ranked in the Top 25 of Golfstat's rankings – No. 15 Georgia, No. 21 Liberty, No. 22 Tennessee, No. 24 Alabama and No. 25 Louisville. Also participating are No. 53 Ohio State, No. 61 Virginia, No. 64 Kennesaw State, No. 68 Penn State, No. 88 UNC-Greensboro, No. 94 South Alabama, No. 96 Charlotte, No. 113 Mercer and No. 115 Augusta.
• Toledo is participating in the Linger Longer Invitational for the first time.
