Rockets Conclude Opening Round of Linger Longer Invitational

EATONTON, Ga. – Sophomore Dylan Van Fossen carded a one-over par 73 to lead the Toledo men's golf team in Friday's play at the Linger Longer Invitational. The Rockets shot an 11-over par 299 and sit in 14th place in a field that includes five teams ranked in Golfstat's Top 25.
Van Fossen played his first 14 holes at one-under par thanks to four birdies before bogeying his 15th and 18th holes.
Sophomore Grant Godfrey also tallied four birdies en route to a two-over par 74 but was hurt by a double-bogey on his 11th hole.
Freshman David Amm and senior Duncan McNeill each recorded four-over par 76s, while junior Rasmus Broholt Lind notched a six-over par 78.
No. 25 Louisville sits atop the team leaderboard with a 10-under par 278 with the Cardinals' Jiri Zuska leading the way individually with a seven-under par 65.
The Rockets will begin the tournament's second round at 9:15 a.m. on Hole 10.
