Toledo, Ohio – University of Toledo men's tennis coach Al Wermer announced the signing of Max Skaer (Swansea, Ill.) today. Skaer will be joining the Rockets as a true freshman for the 2019-20 season.

Why Max chose Toledo: "I really enjoyed the weekend that I spent at Toledo, and the price was very reasonable. I thought Toledo's academics were strong enough to give me an advantage after school, and I realized the team and coach would be my best chance to become the best tennis player I can be while still having fun."

Wermer on Skaer: "Max has a strong reputation for being a relentless worker with something to prove. He'll add even more fighting spirit and work ethic to our roster and recruiting class."
