TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team concludes its fall campaign this week when it travels to the West Coast for the Saint Mary's Invitational on Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 4-6. The three-day event will be played at the par-71, 7,002-yard Poppy Hills Golf Course. The 54-hole tourney will consist of a tee time start beginning at 7:30 a.m. (PT) each day.

"The team is looking forward to another trip to Poppy Hills," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "It's a great venue, and St. Mary's College and Coach Scott Hardy attract an outstanding group of teams each year. This year is no exception, and the Rockets are looking forward to once again playing against many of the world's best amateurs."

The Rockets will be competing for the first time in two weeks. Toledo's last tournament was at Kennesaw State's Pinetree Intercollegiate on Oct. 21-22.

Senior Nate Thomson is leading the Rockets with a 74.2 stroke average and registered his first Top 10 showing as a Rocket by tying for eighth place at the Pinetree event with a four-over par 220. He will be joined in Toledo's lineup by classmates Grant Godfrey and Rasmus Broholt Lind as well as sophomores David Amm and Muhammed Afif Mohd Fathi. Junior Dylan Van Fossen will be competing as an individual.

THE FIELD
• Sixteen schools are participating in the Saint Mary's Invitational.
• The other 15 teams competing in the tournament will be Arizona, BYU, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, Fresno State, New Mexico, Oregon, Oregon State, Pacific, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, UNC Wilmington and Utah. In that group, BYU (No. 6), Arizona (No.14), Oregon State (No. 17), Colorado State (No. 20) and San Diego State (No. 36) are listed in Golfstat's top-50 rankings.

ROCKETS AT THE SAINT MARY'S INVITATIONAL
Toledo is participating in the Saint Mary's Invitational for the fourth-straight year. The Rockets' top finish was a 10^th-place showing in 2017 in a field that included 12 teams ranked in Golfstat's Top 100.

ON THE HORIZON
Following the Pinetree Intercollegiate, Toledo will begin their winter workouts in preparation for the Florida Gators Invitational on Feb. 15-16 in Gainesville, Fla.
