TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo women's golf team travels to Stow, Ohio for the MAC Preview on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 7-8. The trip will provide the Rockets an opportunity to play at the par-72, 6,277-yard Silver Lake Country Club, the site of next spring's Mid-American Conference women's golf championships. The first day of play will consist of 36 holes beginning with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start, while the final 18 holes will also start with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.

"Only one of our players has seen this course before so learning the course will be our greatest focus," head coach Jenny Coluccio said. "We hope to learn more about the strategy around the course and green complexes. That's going to be important since our conference tournament will be held here in April."

The Rockets have competed in two tournaments to date, with senior Saranlak Tumfong leading the team with a 73.5 stroke average. Freshman Amelia Lee ranks second on the team with a 78.0 scoring mark.

Coluccio said it's important for her squad to stay focused and remain committed to improve each day.

"The keys to our success lie in being patient and committed to our process," Coluccio said. "We know we are a young and less-experienced team, but we are using each opportunity to learn and grow."

THE FIELD
* The Rockets will be competing against seven Mid-American Conference schools – Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Ohio and Western Michigan – as well as Youngstown State.
