TOLEDO, Ohio - The Rockets travel to Akron, Ohio for their first dual-meet against a Mid-American Conference opponent on Friday, Oct. 25. The meet is set to begin at 5 p.m. at Oliver J. Ocasek Natatorium.
WORDS FROM INTERIM HEAD COACH BRIE GLOBIG
"We are racing long course meters instead of the typical short-course yards this Friday. We have been training well and I believe we will have some strong races. We look forward to racing Akron, a very talented team. They will push us to race to our best ability and we will rise to the occasion."
ROCKETS AGAINST THE ZIPS
The Rockets have dominated Akron in the all-time series, 12-4-0, claiming four wins away from the Glass City. The Rockets are looking to snap their three-meet losing streak to the Zips.
LAST TIME OUT
The Rockets are coming off of a 1-1 weekend, claiming a dominating 205-90 win over Youngstown State on Saturday. Freshman Lauren Kilgore led the way with a meet-high 27 points, claiming three individual wins. Cami Cahill, Jovana Duric, Samantha Ekleberry, Ashley Jeffreys, Izzy Jones, Duda Sales, and Bec Welke each claimed a first-place finish in their respective swimming events. Sydney Jackson and Joelle Gallais added in a win on each of the diving boards.
