KALAMAZOO, Mich. - In a fierce battle on the soccer field, the Toledo women's soccer team found itself on the wrong side of the scoreboard as the Rockets (6-11-0, 3-6-0 MAC) fell 1-0 to Western Michigan (7-8-1, 5-3-1 MAC).
The Broncos' Morgan Otteson scored the game's only goal in the 53rd minute. A cross from Hannah Kahn was sent to the middle of the box, and Otteson buried it into the back of the net to take the lead.
The Rockets then amped up the pressure, earning two corner kicks and firing off five shots but couldn't score the equalizer.
