Second-Half Goal Costs Rockets at Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - In a fierce battle on the soccer field, the Toledo women's soccer team found itself on the wrong side of the scoreboard as the Rockets (6-11-0, 3-6-0 MAC) fell 1-0 to Western Michigan (7-8-1, 5-3-1 MAC).

The Broncos' Morgan Otteson scored the game's only goal in the 53rd minute. A cross from Hannah Kahn was sent to the middle of the box, and Otteson buried it into the back of the net to take the lead.

The Rockets then amped up the pressure, earning two corner kicks and firing off five shots but couldn't score the equalizer. 

STAT OF THE MATCH
- Junior Sophia Lewis and sophomore Anita Mancini led the way for the Rockets with two shots apiece. Lewis was able to put both of hers on frame.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Junior Claire Cahalan, sophomore Ashton Cassel, and freshman Stephanie Currie each added a shot for the Rockets.
- Redshirt freshman Adrianna Brewer was credited with five saves through 90 minutes of action.
