Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team made a clean sweep of Tiffin in an exhibition match at Twos Athletic Club on Friday.

 "It was a good start for us today," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "We are just looking to improve every time we step on the court, so I'll be looking for a little more on Sunday against Valpo." 

The Rockets dominated in doubles. At the No. 1 spot, the junior/freshman duo Dee Dee Leenabanchong/Kiersten Carlson swept its opponents 6-0, while doubles pairs Kokoro Chishaki/Thalita Rodrigues and Claire Aleck/Christina Fuller defeated their opponents 6-4 each. 
 
In singles the Rockets made quick work of the Dragons. Leenabanchong took a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Abbie-Jade Riley at the No. 1 position. At No. 2 singles Chishaki defeated Anais Geslin in two sets (6-4, 6-3). Senior Claire Aleck defeated Milah Ryland 6-3, 7-6(3), winning her tiebreaker and senior Thalita Rodrigues defeated Cassandra Weidner (6-0) as well as Shea Foster (6-1). 
 
The Rockets will be back in action at Twos Athletic Club on Jan. 20 at 3:00 p.m. when they take on Valparaiso.
