Rockets Finish Seventh at Inverness Intercollegiate

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo finished in seventh place on Tuesday at the Inverness Intercollegiate with Tennessee capturing the tournament title at 12-over par 864 (285-289-290). The Volunteers finished seven strokes ahead of Virginia and San Francisco.
The Cavaliers' Thomas Walsh earned medalist honors with a tournament-record eight-under par 205, nine shots in front of his nearest competitor. The previous tournament record of four-under par 209 was posted by Michigan's Nick Carlson and Duke's Jake Shuman in the 2016 event.
The Rockets notched a team score of 42-over par 894 and were just three strokes out of fifth place. Freshman David Amm set the pace for the Rockets by tying for 11th place at six-over par 219 (72-72-75)
Junior Rasmus Broholt Lind carded the Rockets' best round of the day with a three-over par 74 to finish tied for 28th place at 11-over par 224 (76-74-74).
Senior Duncan McNeill (76-75-75) and sophomore Grant Godfrey (75-74-77) tied for 35th place at 13-over par 226. Senior Spencer Shoemaker rounded out the Rockets' lineup tied for 66th place at 19-over par 235 (75-83-77).
Sophomore Jack Boczar led UT's individuals by tying for 38th place at 14-over par 227 (77-78-72), highlighted by a one-over par 72 in today's final round. Â
Toledo returns to action on Sunday-Monday, Oct. 7-8 with a trip to South Bend, Ind. for Notre Dame's Fighting Irish Classic.
