Toledo Tied for Fourth After 36 Holes at Boilermaker Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Toledo posted the best score in the second round with a three-under par 285 and sits in a fourth-place tie following Saturday's 36 holes at the Boilermaker Invitational. Junior Duncan McNeill propelled the Rockets to their standing near the top of the leaderboard with a five-under par 69 and is tied for second place at four-under par 140 (71-69).

McNeill tallied three birdies in his first round before collecting five in the second round. He was four-under through 14 holes before finishing his day with a three-under 69.
Senior Stephen Watts also enjoyed a strong day for UT and is tied for 12th place at one-over par 145 (73-72). Classmate Colin Joseph is tied for 30th place at three-over par 147 (76-71) after rebounding from a four-over 76 in his first 18 holes by carding a one-under par 71.

Rounding out the Rocket lineup are junior Spencer Shoemaker (T-62nd/76-76=152) and sophomore Thomas Thurloway (T-73rd/81-73=154).

No. 26 Kent State (285-294) and No. 37 Northwestern (284-295) lead the 17-team field at three-over par 579 and are one shot ahead of third-place Indiana (287-293=580). Toledo (296-285) is tied with No. 39 Purdue (287-294) at five-over par 581 after entering the second round in 11th place.
