Toledo Just Misses Out on Capturing Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Junior Duncan McNeill and sophomore Joe Bryce tied for fourth place to lead the Rockets to a runner-up finish at the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate. Toledo carded a five-over par 293 in the final round to complete the competition at two-over 866, just three strokes behind team champion Austin Peay.
McNeill and Bryce each finished at one-under par 215 for the tournament. McNeill posted 72-72-71=215 totals, while Bryce was just as consistent with rounds of 72-71-72=215. Sophomore Thomas Thurloway was two-over par 218 (72-71-75) after today's round to tie for 12th place.
Seniors Colin Joseph (72-71-77=220) and Stephen Watts (73-76-75) rounded out the Rocket lineup with 21st-place and 38th-place finishes, respectively.Â
Florida Gulf Coast's Cole Castro earned medalist honors individual title with a six-under par 210.
