Toledo Ties for 11th Place at Notre Dame's Clover Cup

MESA, Ariz. – Toledo finished in an 11th-place tie with Minnesota on Sunday as play concluded at Notre Dame's Clover Cup. The Rockets carded a team score of 16-over par 304 today to finish the 54-hole event at 52-over par 916.

Sophomore Saranlak Tumfong led the Rockets in the tournament at six-over par 222 (76-73-73) to finish alone in 17th place. Junior Pinyada Kuvanun posted the Rockets' best round of the tourney with an even-par 72 to finish tied for 29th place at nine-over par 225 (77-76-72).
Rounding out the Rocket lineup were junior Pimchanok Kawil (80-74-79=233/T-53rd), sophomore Donchanok Toburint (79-79-80=238/T-67th) and junior Natcha Daengpiem (85-77-83=245/75th).
No. 15 Oklahoma came from behind to win the tournament with a seven-over par 871 (291-288-292). The Sooners trailed No. 8 Arizona State and No. 49 Ohio State by four shots entering today's play. The Sun Devils finished second at nine-over par 873 (287-288-298) with Kentucky in third place at 17-over par 881 (293-293-295).
The Sooners' Julienne Soo captured medalist honors at five-under par 211 (72-71-68) by firing a four-under par 68 today. She edged the Buckeyes' Jaclyn Lee (72-69-71=212) by one stroke.
Toledo will return to action on Friday-Saturday, March 30-31 with a trip to Eastern Kentucky's Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky.
