HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Toledo registered its second straight runner-up finish on Sunday with a second-place showing at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular. Four Rockets placed in the tournament's Top 20 with senior Colin Joseph (75-76-70) and junior Duncan McNeill (73-75-73) each tying for 10th place at five-over par 221.
Joseph posted a team-best two-under par 70 in today's final round thanks to collecting birdies on three of his last four holes. McNeill carded a one-over par 73 with sophomore Thomas Thurloway recorded a two-over 74 and senior Stephen Watts notching a three-over 75.
Thurloway concluded the tournament tied for 16th place at seven-over par 223 (78-71-74), while Watts tied for 19th place at 10-over par 226 (78-73-75). Sophomore Joe Bryce was forced to withdraw from today's final round due to injury after shooting rounds of 77 and 72 yesterday.
"Adversity and resilience seems to be our theme this spring," Head Coach Jeff Roope said. "Joe developed back problems during round two and it kept getting worse by the minute. He barely finished yesterday and tried to get started this morning but it kept getting worse. Faced with their score definitely counting today, our guys showed a great deal of fight and focus. It's good to see them making progress each event."
No. 27 TCU captured the tournament title at two-over par 866 with the Horned Frogs' David Ravetto earning medalist honors at seven-under par 209 (70-69-70).

The Rockets return to action next week with a trip to Wilmington, N.C. for UNCW's Seahawk Intercollegiate on Sunday-Monday, March 25-26.
