Rockets Finish Season at NCAA Regionals

Terre Haute, Ind. - The Toledo men's cross country team finished its season with a 27th-place finish at the NCAA Regionals on Friday.
Junior Dismas Koech led the way for UT, crossing the line with a time of 33:23.0 to take 128th. Sophomore Jake Papish and senior Josh Oeters followed, taking 158th (34:15.2) and 160th (34:15.2), respectively. Senior Brian Stubelt came in 183rd-place (35:24.7) with freshman Corbin Healey following close behind to take 184th (35:27.5). The Rockets were rounded out by senior Matthew Gibbons, who took 200th (38:15.4).
"We really had nothing to lose coming in this meet so we're just trying to be aggressive and set an aggressive mindset," said head coach Linh Nguyen. "Looking ahead to next year, we wanted to start getting that aggressive mindset."
Purdue's Jaret Carpenter took the individual crown with a time of 31:09.6 and Wisconsin took home the title as a team with 49 points.
