ST. PAUL, Minn. - Junior Titus Koech ran an unofficial time of 27:06 to take 58th place in the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday at the Les Bolstad Golf Course.
As a team, the Rockets finished 14th in the meet. Due to weather conditions and timing and scoring malfunctions, all results are unofficial at this time.
"We had a rough day," said Toledo head coach Linh Nguyen. "I think the course conditions and the weather go to us a little and we didn't respond as well as I would have hoped."
Sophomore Dismas Koech was the second Rocket to cross the finish line. He did so in an unofficial time of 27:28 to take 69th place.
Seniors Stalline Kurgat and Alberto Chelimo ran the course in 27:38 and 28:14, respectively, to place 73rd and 83rd.
Junior Jacob Wistinghausen rounded out the scoring with a 101st-place mark in a time of 28:14.
"The guys learned some lessons today," continued Nguyen. "I hope they can take whose lessons and put them to good use later in the season at the MAC Championships."
Colorado State unofficially won the meet with three runners in the top 10 overall.
The men's cross country team sets its sights on the All-Ohio Championships at Cedarville University on Sept. 29.
