UT has begun the 2017-18 campaign winning seven of its first nine games for the second time in as many years and on four occasions under 10th-year head coach Tricia Cullop. The Midnight Blue & Gold has now started a year with at least seven victories after nine contests on 12 occasions in program history.
Toledo has accumulated a 59-50 (.541) all-time ledger in pre-conference tournament action, including an impressive 25-8 (.758) mark under Coach Cullop.
The Rockets are coming off a 65-56 victory over Cleveland State last Saturday in Savage Arena to secure their 11th-straight home triumph.
UT blew open a close game against the Vikings by rattling off the first 13 points in the third quarter to assume a lead it would not relinquish.
This week's Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week junior Kaayla McIntyre triggered the game-changing burst with six of her career-high 21 points to turn a two-point halftime deficit into a double-digit, third-period lead.
McIntyre, who also ripped down a contest-best eight caroms, converted an efficient 9-of-12 from the floor and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe to surpass the 20-point barrier for the second time as a Rocket.
Toledo also received a collegiate-best 10 points from sophomore Sara Rokkanen and eight each by junior Mikaela Boyd and senior Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott to bounce back from a setback at Duquesne on Dec. 6.

Tashia Brown scored a game-high 26 points and was one of four Lady Toppers in double figures, followed by Ivy Brown with 15 points and a contest-best 11 boards.
WKU, which finished 27-7 last season and advanced to the NCAA Championships after winning the Conference USA Championship, possesses a high-powered offense with three players averaging at least 10.9 points per game led by two-time all-conference performer Tashia Brown's 22.1 ppg, 2.1 apg and 2.2 spg.
Toledo and Western Kentucky will meet for the second time on the hardwood. The Rockets suffered a 77-63 setback against the Lady Toppers in the first round of the 1996 NCAA Championships in Bowling Green, Ky. (March 17).
