Rockets to Face Findlay and Tiffin in Tri-Meet Saturday

Toledo, Ohio – The Toledo Rockets women's swimming and diving team will host its second tri-meet of the regular season this Saturday, when Findlay and Tiffin come to the UT Student Recreational Center pool for a 1:00 pm contest. The game will be covered by BCSN and ESPN 3, and shown on a tape-delay on both networks.Â
The Rockets come into their third meet of the season boasting a 1-2 record thus far. After being defeated in their opening meet by Buffalo, the Rockets split a tri-meet two weekends ago at home, beating MAC foe Ball State and falling to Oakland.
Youth has been the story for Toledo thus far this season. Freshman Macarena Garcia excelled for the Rockets in the tri-meet against Ball State and Oakland, winning the 400 IM with a time of 4:27.49. Sophomore Duda Sales also took first for UT in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.78.
"The team is really excited to swim against two new teams that were not on the schedule last year," said head coach Jonas Persson. "Both teams have some really great swimmers and we are looking forward to a fun and exciting meet."

The meet will air on BCSN on Buckeye CableSystem at 11:30 pm following SportsNightly. The ESPN3 broadcast time is to be determined.
