AKRON, OH - Toledo led for over 50 minutes, but a equalizing goal by Akron in the 90th minute led to a 1-1 draw on Friday night in FirstEnergy Stadium and Cub Cadet Field.

The Rockets (6-4-1, 1-1-1 MAC) scored first for the seventh consecutive match when Jordyn Greer found Alena Sidwell streaking down the middle of the field in the 39th minute. Sidwell, a sophomore, beat the keeper to the right post for her first career goal.

Akron (3-6-2, 0-1-2) knotted the game with 00:21 left on the clock when a free kick found the head of Ashley Amato and deflected into the net.

After a pair of scoreless 10 minute overtimes, the match ended in a draw.

Senior Brooke Maletic and freshman Alex Troy each took four shots to lead the Rockets.

UT outshot the Zips by a final count of 17-14 and took six corner kicks compared to Akron's four. Sophomore Katie Wilson made four saves between the posts.

The women's soccer team will continue its two match road trip against Bufflao on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 12:00 p.m.
