Senior RHP Marla Gooding (6-12) took the loss for Toledo (3 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO).

Senior LF Jessica Lemieux led Toledo's offense going 2-for-3 with a run scored. Junior 2B Chandler Rice (1-3) and sophomore CF Ashley Rausch (1-2) each recorded a hit.

Miami jumped on the board first with the help of two solo home runs in the second followed by a two-run homer in the third.

Lemieux scored the Rockets' lone run when she came across on sophomore 1B Samantha Showalter's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third inning.

The RedHawks extended their lead in the fifth by scoring three more runs and followed with one run in the sixth and four more in the seventh.

The Rockets will hit the road for a mid-week doubleheader at Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, April 5 before returning home next weekend for conference games against Ohio.
