Toledo Travels to West Virginia for Double Dual Meet

TOLEDO, OH - The Toledo women's swimming and diving team travels to Huntington, WV on Saturday for a double dual meet against Ohio (5-4) and host Marshall (8-3). The Rockets will look to improve upon their 6-2 dual meet record. The meet is set to begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday at the Frederick A Fitch Natatorium and will continue Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Last weekend the Rockets played host to Buffalo and were defeated 177-123.

Seniors Samantha Richart and Lauren Comer, and sophomore Jessica Avery scored Toledo's four victories against the Bulls.

Richart won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.87, her second fastest time this season. This marks her seventh-consecutive first-place finish in the 100 breast this year.

Avery swam her second fastest time in the 200 breaststroke at 2:20.57 en route to a victory.

Comer took home first place in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:06.10, over two seconds ahead of Buffalo's Claudia Casale. Comer also placed second in the 100 back recording a personal-best time of 58.82.

The Rockets will then head to Ann Arbor, MI on Feb. 13-14 to take part in the Michigan 1^st Chance Meet before preparing for the MAC Championships on Feb. 24-27 in Bowling Green, OH.
