BOWLING GREEN, OH - Captains Brooke Maletic and Regan Price each scored goals as Toledo defeated arch-rival Bowling Green, 2-1, in its 2016 season finale at Cochrane Stadium.
Senior goalkeeper Nicole Jablonski earned her first start of the season, made four saves and recorded her first career win for the Midnight Blue & Gold.
The Rockets (8-10-1, 3-7-1 MAC) struck first in the 49th minute when senior Kiersten Johnson found Maletic for her second goal of the season.
UT extended its lead 4:33 later, as junior Isa Echeverri fed the ball to Price for the junior's first goal on the year.
Less than a minute later, Bowling Green (8-10-1, 3-7-1 MAC) cut the lead in half as Madison Schupbach netted her first marker of the year.
Toledo took a season-high 23 shots, compared to 15 shots by the Falcons. Johnson was credited with a team-high six shots in her final collegiate match.
The Rockets and the Falcons will miss the Mid-American Conference Tournament with 10 points.
