Cheatham Norrils, Sathika Ruenreong Named Toledo's Athletes of the Week

Seniors Cheatham Norrils and Sathika Ruenreong are Toledo's Athletes of the Week, respectively.
Norrils registered eight tackles and a career-high three pass breakups in the Rockets' 16-12 victory over No. 18 Arkansas on Saturday. Two of those breakups came in Arkansas' final drive, which Toledo's defense halted to secure the victory.
The football team returns to the Glass Bowl on Saturday, Sept. 19 for a matchup vs. Big 12 Conference foe Iowa State that will be televised by ESPNews. Kickoff time is set for 8:00 p.m.Â
Ruenreong birdied two of her final three holes to capture the third tournament title of her collegiate career on Sunday with a two-stroke victory at Michigan State's Mary Fossum Invitational.
Ruenreong's impressive play helped UT finish third as a team (one stroke behind the host Spartans) in its season-opening event for a second year in a row. Ruenreong carded an even-par 72 to finish with a 54-hole stroke total of even-par 216 (75-69-72). She helped the Rockets card the best team score in the final round at nine-over par 297.
The women's golf team is back in action next week with a trip to Colorado for the Golfweek Conference Challenge on Monday-Wednesday, September 21-23.
