Toledo Competes in EMU Fall Classic

DEXTER, MI – The Toledo cross country team's competed in the EMU Fall Classic on Friday, Oct. 23. The classic was the last race of the year before the Mid-American Conference Championships, and was run on a 5K course.
Junior Matt Leis paced the way for the men with a time of 16:09.4, good for 38th overall. Freshman Caleb Morehart was the second Rocket to cross the finish line with a time of 16:41.0. Justine Kiprotich won the race unattached with a time of 14:58.7.
Maja Pacaric led the attached women with a time of 18:45.6, good for 27th overall. Julia Mendiola was the second attached UT runner to cross the finish line with a time of 19:47.1 and finished in 40th place. Kira Garry won the race unattached with a time of 17:22.4.
No team scores were kept in either race.
UT is back in action at the MAC Championships on Saturday Oct. 31. The race is hosted by the University of Akron and will be held at GlenOak High School in Canton, OH.
