Rockets Place Fourth at EKU Lady Colonel Classic

RICHMOND, KY - Toledo maintained its position in Sunday's final round and finished in fourth place at this weekend's EKU Lady Colonel Classic. The Rockets shot a three-round total of 919 and finished 14 strokes behind tournament champion Morehead State.
Junior Erica Rivard led the Rockets with her third Top 10 finish of the season, finishing alone in sixth place with a 10-over par 226 (80-69-77). Rivard is now tied for the team lead in Top 10 showings with junior Michelle Hui, who tied for 13th place at 13-over par 229 (78-75-76). Sophomore Piyathida Chaiyapan tied for 29th place at 18-over par 234 (81-72-81), senior Marguerite Johnson tied for 33rd place at 19-over par 156 (77-79-79), and junior Emily Hardcastle tied for 41st place at 23-over par 239 (77-82-80).
Sophomore Georgina Hunt competed as an individual and tied for 10th place with a 12-over par 228 (75-77-76).
"We're very happy with a Top 5 finish and I think we're definitely heading in the right direction," Toledo Head Coach Nicole Hollingsworth said. "Erica and Georgina both played very well and it's good to see as with the MAC Championships right around the corner."
Arkansas State's Anna Carling captured medalist honors with a six-over par 222 (74-72-76).
Toledo will return to action next weekend at the Falcon Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 17-18.
