Men's Tennis Narrowly Loses to Ball State, 4-3

TOLEDO, OH -Toledo dropped a close match to the Ball State Cardinals at Shadow Valley on Sunday, losing 4-3.
"For the third meeting in a row, it's a 4-3 showdown and again, it's a one-match-left-on mega drama," said Head Coach Al Wermer. "The ball didn't bounce our way in the end today."
In singles play, the Rockets won three of the six matches in the No. 3, 4 and 6 spots. Knot Likitkumchorn defeated Cliff Morrison in No. 3 singles by a score of 7-5, 6-2. In No. 4 singles, Aleksandar Elesovic picked up a win for the Midnight Blue and Gold in a three-set win over Andres Monroy, 6-1, 5-7, 7-5. Jayson Miller won his No. 6 singles match by a score of 6-4, 6-4 over Shaun Bussert.
In doubles, Sven Burus and Robbie McCallum won their No. 2 doubles match 8-4.
The Rockets will host their final home match of 2009 next Saturday at 1:00 p.m. when the Northern Illinois Huskies head into town. It will be the final home match for seniors Jayson Miller, Jared Miller and Wade Ward.
