Keonta Howell Named Toledo Athlete of the Week

Toledo, OH - Senior forward Keonta Howell averaged 18.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 45.5 percent from three-point range and committing zero turnovers to help the Rockets secure two road wins last week.
Howell shared team scoring honors with 16 points in UT's 86-83 win over Northern Illinois including knocking down the go-ahead free throw with 17.9 seconds remaining. In UT's 79-75 (OT) win at WMU, he led the way with 21 points and also pulled down six rebounds to help the Rockets post their first win in Kalamazoo since 2002.
Toledo will close out its regular season this week with a pair of home games vs. Ball State on Thursday, Mar. 1 and Central Michigan on Sunday, Mar. 4.
