Rockets Sweep The Weekend Defeating Cleveland State 7-0

Toledo, OH - Toledo women's tennis team continued their win streak with a 7-0 victory over Cleveland State this afternoon, not dropping a set. Sweeping the weekend, the Rockets remain undefeated.
Dominating her match at No. one singles was senior Myriam Cueva, winning 6-1, 6-1. Not to be shown up, freshman Nadia Zoubareva shut out her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at number three singles. The longest match of the afternoon came from sophomore Jenny Belsy at number four. After a hard battle she came up victorious winning 6-4, 6-1.
Also playing a tough match was freshman Martina Wodzinski at number two singles 6-3, 6-1. Fellow freshman Jessica Azoulay controlled her match from beginning to end winning 6-1, 6-1. Winning six singles was sophomore Sarah VanderMolen 6-1, 6-2.
Winning doubles across-the-board, Toledo didn't give the Vikings a chance. Wodzinski and Giurguis won one doubles 8-2 followed by Cueva and Zoubareva who won two 8-2 and Horning and Belsky won three 8-1.
"Our doubles was really solid today," said Head Coach Tracy Mauntler. "We stuck with our game plan and played aggressively."
Next weekend the Rockets travel north to take on Detroit on Friday night then Michigan State Saturday morning.
