Toledo, OH - Freshman Mohammed Al Nabhani was named Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week today by the MAC office. Al Nabhani went 2-0 for the Rockets last weekend against Big Ten competition. Al Nabhani becomes the third Rocket this week to be named Player of the Week by the MAC office.

The Muscat, Oman native started off his impressive weekend on Saturday at #60 Indiana where he took out Dara McLoughlin 6-3, 7-6 (6-3) at second singles. Al Nabhani followed up that win with a victory over Purdue's Scott Warner 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday at second singles. It was the freshman's third win in four matches over Big Ten players, after getting a win over Michigan State on Jan. 21. Al Nabhani has beaten five Big Ten players dating back to fall regionals.

"Mo is working hard and has played fairly consistently also, a tall task for a freshman playing high in the lineup with our tough schedule." Head Coach Al Wermer said.

The Rockets are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 4 when they host Xavier at 2:30 P.M. at Laurel Hill Tennis Club.
