Cardinals Slip Past Rockets, 63-59

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) - Peyton Stovall scored 18 points and Terrance Chapman had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Ball State to a 63-59 victory over Toledo on Thursday.
The win broke a five-game losing streak for Ball State (13-11, 8-7 Mid-American Conference) and moved the Cardinals into a third-place tie with the Rockets (13-12, 8-7) in the MAC's West Division.
Toledo had four players score in double figures, led by Keith Triplett with 12 points. Anton Currie had 11 points and seven rebounds, while Justin Ingram also scored 11.
Ball State players grabbed 15 offensive rebounds as the Cardinals out-rebounded Toledo 40-28 for the game. That offensive-rebounding edge allowed the Cardinals to outscore the Rockets 20-6.
