Team Notes:

* The Rockets suffered their first defeat ever to the Bulls and now lead the all-time series by an 8-1 margin. Entering today's contest, UT was the only MAC school Buffalo was winless against.

* The Rockets allowed 19 points in the first half to the Bulls to mark the fewest points UT has allowed in a half since allowing 19 vs. in a 58-42 win over CMU on Feb.6, 2002.

* Buffalo's 56 points were the fewest UT has allowed since opening the 2003-04 season with a 71-53 win at IPFW on Nov. 21, 2003. The last time the Rockets allowed 56 points or less in a MAC game was a 61-51 win over Miami on Jan. 14, 2003.

* UT held Buffalo to a 18.2 three-point FG% (2-of-11) to mark the third straight game the Rockets have held their opponet to under a 20.0 3PTFG% and less than four treys. In its three MAC games, Toledo's opponents are shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 17.2 percent from behind the three-point arc.

* Toledo shot a season-low 32.8 percent from the field in today's contest and was held to its lowest point total in a MAC game since a 54-42 win over Buffalo at Savage Hall on Feb. 20, 2002.

* The Rockets registered 12 steals in the contest and has 10 or more steals in six of their last seven games. UT is averaging a MAC-best 10.17 spg to rank just ahead of Buffalo's 10.08 spg. The Bulls registered only three steals vs. the Rockets.

Player Notes:

* Senior guard Keith Triplett moved into fifth place on UT's all-time scoring list with 1,563 points. His 24-point effort today put him ahead of Casey Shaw (1994-98) with 1,562 points and Tom Kozelko (1970-73) with 1,561 points. Triplett also moved into a fourth-place tie on the MAC's all-time steals list with Akron's Jimmal Ball (1997-2000) with 242 career thefts.

* Junior forward Anton Currie matched his season high with 11 points in his first start of the season. He is averaging 9.7 ppg in his last three games and has grabbed four rebounds in each of his last four contests.

* Sophomore Justin Ingram established new career highs for rebounds (7) and blocked shots (2) while dishing out three assists and committing one turnover. He leads the Rockets with a 2.0 assist/turnover ratio.

* Sophomore Florentino Valencia fouled out for the first time in his collegiate career and was just the third Rocket to pick up five fouls in a contest this season.
