Toledo Finishes Second at EKU Lady Colonel Classic

Richmond , KY - The University of Toledo women's golf team finished second at the Eastern Kentucky Lady Colonel Classic with a three-day total of 945. UT finished tied for first with Mid-American Conference foe Eastern Michigan, but lost in a one-hole playoff. Junior Breanne Hall tied for first-place individually with Murray State's Lee-Anne pace with a three-round total of 230.
Individually for the Rockets, senior Katie Schmidt tied for eighth place with a tally of 236 (83-75-78), while fellow senior Stephanie Young and junior Helene Thoman tied for 27th place with a respective score of 242. Rounding out UT's participants was junior Sara Boogaard, who tied for 32nd place with a score of 244 (80-82-90).
The Rockets will be in action again on Saturday, April 19 as they travel to Columbus, OH to participate in the Ohio State Lady Buckeye Invitational.
