Rockets Finish 12th at Adidas Fall Invitational

Palm Harbor, FL - Toledo concluded play in the Adidas Fall Invitational today with a 12th-place showing. The Rockets shot their best round of the tournament with a 308 on the par-72, 5,844-yard Lansbrook Golf Club and rebounded from posting a 322 in Monday's action.
Seniors Sara Boogaard and Kristin Uhoda led UT in today's action with 76's for the Rockets' best 18 hole showings in the tournament. Boogaard finished in a 33rd-place tie with a 234 (81-77-76), while Uhoda tied for 51st place with a 240 (80-84-76). Rounding out the Toledo lineup was the trio of senior Breanne Hall (82-83-77-242), sophomore Kim Kester (76-87-79-242) and senior Helene Thoman (82-81-79-242) in a 56th-place tie. Sophomore Jenna Cox (79-81-160) was forced to withdraw from the final round due to illness.
"I was very happy with how we rebounded today with our best score of the tournament," said UT Head Coach Nicole Hollingsworth. "It was good to finish our fall season on a positive note and we can use this as a springboard to our winter training as we get ready for our spring schedule."
The Rockets will open their spring season in Miami, FL at the Golden Panther Invitational on Feb. 16-17, 2004.
