Toledo Finishes Sixth at Duke Golf Classic

Durham, NC - Toledo finished in sixth place today at the Duke Golf Classic with junior Justin Bertsch (Sandusky, OH - Perkins HS) leading the way with the best finish of his collegiate career. Bertsch concluded the two-day affair with a four-under par 212 (69-69-74) over 54 holes, earning him a second-place showing.
North Carolina captured the team title with a five-under par 859 and the Tar Heels' Dustin Bray placed first individually with a nine-under par 207 (71-65-71).
Rounding out the Rockets' lineup was senior Brad Heaven in a 22nd-place tie (74-74-74-222), junior Richard Kilpatrick (76-81-75-232) and senior Doug Batty (81-75-76-232) in a 59th-place tie and sophomore Martin McTernan (76-73-85-234) in 63rd tie.
The Rockets will return to action this weekend with a trip to Palo Alto, CA for The Nelson Invitational on Friday - Sunday, October 24-26.
