Toledo Finishes Tied for Third Place at Kepler Intercollegiate

Columbus, OH - Toledo finished in a third-place tie today with the host Buckeyes at Ohio State's Kepler Intercollegiate. Senior Brad Heaven tied for first with a two-under par 214 (69-72-73) but lost in a playoff with Kent State's Ryan Yip.
The Rockets (895) finished nine strokes behind Xavier (886) after shooting a 306 today following 294 and 295 team scores in the first two rounds on Saturday. Kent State (889) finished second after shooting a 293. Other MAC schools competing in the tournament were Miami (15th/923), Eastern Michigan (16th/925) and Marshall (17th/931).
Rounding out the rest of the Rockets' lineup was junior Justin Bertsch tied for 17th place at 225 (75-72-78), junior Richard Kilpatrick tied for 46th place at 230 (75-78-77), senior Doug Batty tied for 53rd place at 231 (75-75-81) and freshman Tyler Riley tied for 57th place at 232 (78-76-78).
The Rockets return to action next weekend for the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate in Akron, OH on Saturday and Sunday, April 24-25.
