Women's Tennis: Bowling Green Spoils Home Finale

Toledo, OH - The Toledo women dropped the final match of 2000-01, falling to Bowling Green, 6-1 today. Sophomore Marie Craig (Akron, OH) earned UT's point in No. 4 singles by defeating Devon Bissinger, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.
"I think that we played very well today," said Coach Jeff Westmeyer. "We are definitely moving in the right direction and if we continue to practice hard and play hard we may be able to surprise someone at the conference tournament."
The Rockets are 0-7 in the Mid-American Conference. They are 6-11 overall and head to Akron (April 20) and Buffalo (April 21) next weekend to wrap up the regular season. The MAC Championships are in Huntington, WV from April 26-28.
