TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Greg Stempin led both teams with 26 points and eight rebounds as Toledo defeated Eastern Michigan 76-63 Wednesday night.
Nick Moore scored 15, Rory Jones 14 and Craig Rodgers 13 for the Rockets (18-9 overall, 10-6 Mid-American Conference).
Malvin Hicks had 23 and Ryan Hopkins 19 for the Eagles (3-21, 1-14).
Toledo led 35-29 at halftime. Eastern Michigan got to within 46-43 with 14:07 left on two free throws by Hopkins, but a 12-3 run by the Rockets made it 58-46 with 8:42 to play and the lead never fell below double figures after that.
Toledo forced 22 turnovers while committing 11. The Rockets had a 27-9 advantage in points scored off turnovers.
