Sydney Workman

Sydney Workman began at Toledo as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations beginning in June 2025.

Workman takes on the day-to-day operations including scheduling, organizing and managing practices, coordinating travel and meals, budgeting, team and community events, providing in-game assistance for the coaching staff, player development and scouting, and managing availability for coaches and players.

Workman was most recently a graduate assistant at Clemson for two seasons. With the Tigers, she assisted with opponent scouting, recruit visits, event planning and execution, workouts, and recruiting male practice squad players.

As a player, Brown spent a five-season college career at Westmont College in California from 2018-2023. In the 2020-21 season, she led the Warriors to the NAIA national championship, the second in program history. Westmont finished the season on a 15-game winning streak en route to the title. She was an All-GSAC (Golden State Athletic Conference) pick, an NAIA and GSAC Scholar-Athlete and the only four-time team captain in program history. Brown ranked third in program history in career rebounds (849) and rebound average (7.9) and fifth in career blocks (73) at the end of her playing career.

While playing at Westmont, Brown was an assistant coach for the Salem Academy High School (Oregon) varsity boys team in 2021 and did a coaching internship with Westmont. Salem Academy won the state title during Brown's season as a high school assistant.

Brown was also selected to the 2023 WBCA 'So You Want to be A Coach' class, a program which gives senior women's basketball student-athletes necessary education, training and networking skills to pursue a career in coaching.

A native of Turner, Ore., Brown graduated from Westmont with a degree in sport psychology. She recently received her Master's degree from Clemson in athletic leadership.
