Kevin Kuhl is entering his sixth season as an assistant coach for the University of Toledo men's golf program. He also serves as the Director of Instruction and as center manager at GOLFTEC Toledo in Sylvania, Ohio.
During Kuhl's tenure, the Rockets have placed an individual on the First-Team All-MAC squad every season. The top individual to receive All-MAC honors in this group is Barend Botha, who graduated in 2024 and is now in his second season competing on the Korn Ferry Tour.
One of the most decorated players in Mid-American Conference history, Botha became the first individual in 34 years to win back-to-back outright league titles and the second Rocket to earn First-Team All-MAC honors four straight years. He was also named the MAC's Men's Golfer of the Year for two straight years, joining former Varsity T Hall of Famer Brad Heaven as the only Rockets to receive the award on multiple occasions. Botha also was named to the PING All-Midwest Region Team and participated in the NCAA Regionals in back-to-back seasons.
Botha departed Toledo holding the program's records for lowest season (70.5) and career (71.9) stroke average. He also shared the 54-hole record of 13-under par 203 with Palmer Yenrick at the 2023 Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational.
In 2021-22, three Rockets received all-conference honors in the same season for the first time since 2002. Sophomores Barend Botha (1st team) and Jamie Tofte Nielsen (2nd team) joined graduate transfer Lukas Clark (1st team) as all-conference honorees.
In 2025-26, Bence Kotel received First-Team All-MAC honors with Bence Bertenyi receiving Second-Team All-MAC accolades.
A Toledo native, Kuhl received his associate's degree in business from the Golf Academy of America in 2018.
