Emma Johnson joined the University of Toledo sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer in July of 2024. Johnson serves as the primary athletic trainer for the women's soccer team.

Prior to joining the Rockets, Johnson received her master's in Athletic Training from Northern Michigan University, where she was also a graduate teaching assistant in the department of health and human performance. Johnson earned bachelor's degree in exercise science at Hope College.
