Rushed for 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior...Caught 29 passes and scored four touchdowns as a tight end in his senior season...Earned first-team All-Mobile County, all-coastal, all-area and all-city honors in his junior and senior seasons... Made honorable mention all-coastal honors as a sophomore...Sims also ran track, earning state runner-up honors in the 100 meters as a freshman, sophomore and junior...High school coach was Rick Cauley.
