Toledo tabbed for Presidents Special Recognition for fifth-straight year
TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's golf team has received Presidents Special Recognition for posting an impressive 3.809 grade-point average as part of the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic honors announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Wednesday. It is the fifth-consecutive year that UT has been honored.
The Rockets registered a program-record 3.853 GPA in the fall semester and a 3.765 GPA in the spring semester. Since Head Coach Jeff Roope took over the program, the Rockets have registered a 3.450 GPA or higher in 18 straight semesters and a 3.700 team GPA or higher in eight consecutive semesters.Â
Toledo is one of 88 programs to receive special recognition out of the nearly 300 schools that sponsor NCAA Division I men's golf.
Bence Bertenyi, Mason Deal, Mads Jensen and Bence Kotel were named 2025-26 GCAAÂ All-America Scholars on Monday for their accomplishments academically and athletically.Â
