Toledo to Host Inverness Intercollegiate in September as Part of 2026-27 Schedule

Defending national champion Auburn among 11 programs competing that participated in NCAA postseason play
TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo men's golf team will visit eight different states as part of a challenging schedule for its 2026-27 campaign, Head Coach Jeff Roope announced on Friday. The Rockets will again be facing some of the nation's top programs during their upcoming season, including hosting 2026 NCAA Champion Auburn in the Inverness Intercollegiate on Sept. 13-15.
Toledo will open its fall campaign at Tennessee's Visit Knoxville Collegiate on Aug. 31-Sept. 1 before hosting its Inverness event two weeks later. The Inverness Intercollegiate will be a three-day event for the first time ever and will include eight programs - Auburn, Virginia, LSU, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Purdue - that competed in the NCAA Championships with three more - Texas Tech, Clemson and Wake Forest - qualifying for NCAA Regionals.
Five schools in the field have captured tournament titles with Texas Tech capturing the title in 2019 and 2022. Virginia is the defending champion with East Tennessee State (2014), Auburn (2016) and Tennessee (2018) previously winning the tournament championship.
The remainder of the Rockets' fall schedule will include the Chicago Highlands Invitational (Sept. 21-22), the Purdue Fall Invitational (Oct. 12-13) and the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate (Oct. 19-21).
The Rockets will tee off their spring season at Auburn's Tiger Invitational (March 15-16). UT will close out the month of March at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate (March 28-30). Toledo will then compete in Iowa's Calusa Cup (April 4-6), Virginia's Lewis Chitengwa Memorial (April 12-13) and Illinois' Fighting Illini Spring Collegiate (April 24-25) before heading to Naples, Fla. for the Mid-American Conference Championships (April 30-May 2).
