
The Toledo women's basketball 2026 transfer class features five new student-athletes, including three who previously played at "Power Four" programs.

Three guards, two forwards come to the Glass City
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball program recently signed five student-athletes in the 2026 transfer class, bringing depth and talent to the Glass City as the program turns its focus to the 2026-27 season.

The Rockets welcome three guards and two forwards to the program, having picked up guard Reagan Wilson (Iowa State), guard Natiah Nelson (DePaul), forward Kiera Edmonds (Boston College), guard Jyah LoVett and forward Judit Oliva Fernandez (Long Beach State) from the portal.

Combined, the five transfers have played nearly 300 games, totaled over 1,500 points and grabbed over 800 rebounds in their college basketball careers.

The newest Rockets will begin competing for Toledo in the 2026-27 season, which will be Head Coach Ginny Boggess' third leading the Rockets. Toledo is coming off back-to-back MAC Tournament Championship Game appearances.

Reagan Wilson | Guard | Jr. | 5-8 | Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville | Iowa State

Wilson saw action in 59 games as a Cyclone, including three starts. She has 125 career points, 45 career rebounds, 52 assists and 18 steals in 594 career minutes. Wilson reached double figures three times. She shot 35.6% (26-for-73) from three-point range. She was an Academic All-Rookie, Commissioner's Honor Roll and Academic All-Big 12 Team selection at Iowa State.

At Noblesville High School, Wilson was a two-time all-state and three-time all-conference and all-county selection. She was also selected to play in the Indiana Girls All-Star game as a senior. Noblesville won sectionals three times. Wilson also competed in track & field, reaching the 2021 state championships in the 4x400 relay.

Natiah Nelson | Guard | Jr. | 5-9 | Toledo, Ohio/Columbus Africentric Early College | DePaul

Nelson returns home to Toledo after two seasons at DePaul, playing 58 games and making 33 starts. As a sophomore in 2025-26, Nelson played 32 and started 29 games, averaging 8.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game. She shot 46.1% from the field last season. Nelson has scored in double figures 15 times during her career, including 21 against Seton Hall on Feb. 14, 2026. She opened the 2025-26 season with a 13-point, 15-rebound double-double against Valparaiso.

Nelson was a 1,000-point scorer in her high school career and lead Africentric to two Division III state titles. She was recognized with all-state, all-district and all-city first-team honors, and was also a state Player of the Year nominee from the Columbus Dispatch.

Kiera Edmonds | Forward | R-Jr. | 6-2 | Brooklyn, N.Y./Brooklyn & Law Tech | Boston College

Edmonds spent one season at Boston College, totaling 50 points and 70 rebounds in 24 games. She shot 20-of-39 (52.6%) from the field and tallied a season-high seven rebounds twice. Before BC, Edmonds spent the 2024-25 season at Houston and the 2023-24 campaign at Wagner. At Wagner as a freshman, she was named to the NEC All-Rookie Team, leading the team with 9.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game during conference play, including 11.0 points and 9.0 rebounds on 50.0% shooting over the team's list 11 contests. Edmonds had four double-doubles and six double-figure rebounding outings with Wagner.

She attended Brooklyn Law & Tech for high school, where she averaged 17.4 points as a senior. Edmonds was a two-time all-state selection and a two-time city champion in high school.

Jyah LoVett | Guard | Sr. | 5-8 | San Gabriel, Calif./Bella Vista College Prep | Arizona State

LoVett started her career at San Jose State before playing two seasons with Arizona State. LoVett was one of six players for ASU to play all 35 games in the 2025-26 season. She averaged 4.9 points and 1.7 rebounds, along with 47 assists and 45 steals last season. She helped the Sun Devils reach the NCAA Tournament last year. As a freshman with SJSU, the California native averaged 14.6 points, twice scoring her career high of 26 points, and was named to the Mountain West All-Freshman Team. For her career, LoVett has shot 40.5% from the field, 32.6% from three and 81.2% from the free throw line. In over 2,000 career minutes, LoVett has 698 career points, 182 rebounds, 164 assists, 114 career steals and has made 257 field goals.

In high school, LoVett was named the Los Angeles Times' Freshman of the Year in 2019 and to the 2019 Division IV-AA First Team. She scored 61 points in a game, becoming the 18th player in state women's basketball history to score 60 in a game.

Judit Oliva Fernandez | Forward | R-Jr. | 6-2 | El Prat De Llobregat, Spain/Unstitut Salvador Dali | Long Beach State

After redshirting at South Florida in 2023-24, Fernandez played 26 games for LBSU in 2024-25, before playing 18 contests with 15 starts in 2025-26. She made big jumps from the 2024-25 to 2025-26 campaigns, averaging 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists, while leading the Beach with 28 blocks last year. She scored in double figures four times last season, including double-doubles against Cal Poly and Hope International.

Fernandez competed at the club and international level with Spain. She averaged 17.2 points in the 2022 FIBA U17 3x3 and 18.1 points at the U18 3x3 level. Fernandez competed for Barca for club, averaging 11 points and 7.3 rebounds in the Spanish Championship to help her team claim the silver medal.
