Rockets add five new staffers and retain five others
TOLEDO, Ohio —Toledo Head Coach Mike Jacobs announced the hiring of five new staff members and the retention of five others to the Rocket Football program today.
The new additions are Director of Player Personnel Tyler Miller, Director of Advance Scouting Jacob Bonacci, Assistant Quarterbacks Coach Kyle Ohradzansky, Nickelbacks Coach James Daniels and Special Teams Analyst Tim Hoover. Promotions were announced for Director of Football Operations Addie Shane and Video Coordinator Tim Hanna. Offensive Graduate Assistant Nick Rosi, defensive graduate assistant Jamahl Johnson, and Recruiting and Operations Assistant Kade Pelton will be retained in their current roles.
"We're very excited that this outstanding group of individuals are on our staff," said Jacobs, who compiled 94-23 record in 10 years as a head coach before joining the Rockets last December. "One of the ever-evolving aspects of college football is the size of the support staff and what's needed in the personnel department. So it is vital that we were able to attract experienced people like Tyler Miller from Purdue and Jacob Bonacci from Ohio State, and also retain Kade Pelton on the staff. They will be a key part of (General Manager) Logan Meyer's staff and help give us a really strong footing in recruiting and evaluation, both in high school and in the transfer portal.
"We've also added some talented coaches to our staff who have experience as coordinators. James Daniels worked with me at Notre Dame College and has experience as a coordinator at Tiffin. Kyle Ohradzansky worked as a coordinator at the Division II level at Findlay and Shippensburg State. Tim Hoover has been a coordinator at the Division III level. When you're adding assistants that have coordinator experience, that speaks volumes about your program.
"Finally, we were able to retain some outstanding individuals in support and graduate assistant roles. Tim Hanna will now be in charge of our video department. Addie Shane is our director of football operations after having been with the program for a number of years. And we're very pleased that Jamahl Johnson and Nick Rosi are back as graduate assistants on the coaching staff."
Here is a look at the latest additions to the Toledo Football coaching staff:
